Job Description

As an AI Prompt Engineer at QBE Global Shared Services Center (GSSC), you will play a pivotal role in crafting, developing, and optimizing AI-generated text prompts for various applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, collaborating with AI developers, content creators, data scientists, product teams, and machine learning engineers to align prompt engineering with company objectives and user needs. Your responsibilities will include tracking prompt performance, conducting experiments, troubleshooting, and ensuring the seamless integration of AI chat bots into the company's workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams and efficiently collaborate to discuss and implement product enhancements.
  • Craft, develop, test, and refine AI-generated text prompts for a wide range of applications.
  • Collaborate with AI and software developers, content creators, data scientists, and product teams to understand requirements and align prompts with company goals and user needs.
  • Track, supervise, and analyze prompt performance quality, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Conduct experiments, analyze data, and provide insights to enhance the performance and accuracy of AI prompt generation models.
  • Continuously optimize the prompt generation process to improve overall system performance.
  • Troubleshoot and debug AI prompt generation models, addressing errors as they arise.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in AI and machine learning.
  • Implement AI models and algorithms in production scenarios to enhance scalability and performance.
  • Support the content and product departments in adopting best practices for prompt engineering.
  • Smoothly integrate AI chat bots into the company's workflows.
  • Record, document, and distribute reports on prompt performance progress to team members and stakeholders.
  • Maintain a record of research findings and technical requirements and share them with the team.

Requirements

  • Strong expertise in AI and NLP techniques, with a deep understanding of deep learning and natural language processing.
  • Proficiency in AI programming languages such as Python, Lisp, etc.
  • Ability to analyze data and design experiments effectively.
  • Knowledge of prompt generation methods and algorithms.
  • Exceptional communication and report preparation skills.
  • Clear conceptual understanding of machine learning algorithms.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities with various departments.
  • Effective multitasking skills and prioritization capabilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and discipline in producing high-quality work.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. A degree in AI-centric programs, NLP, or a related field is an added bonus.
  • Proven work experience as a Prompt Engineer or in a similar role related to AI and NLP.
  • Mastery of programming languages such as Python, Java, Lisp, or C++.
  • Previous experience with cloud-based platforms like Azure, AWS, etc.
  • Familiarity with diverse platforms such as Git and TensorFlow.
  • Excellent problem-solving, critical-thinking, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as a valuable team player.
