Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Prompt Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Principal Prompt Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing and advancing our language model technology, specifically as it relates to improving the velocity of our software development teams. You will also be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing prompt engineering strategies to enhance the capabilities of our natural language processing systems to improve the capabilities of our software products and improve the efficiency in our veterinary practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead the prompt engineering team, providing technical expertise and guidance.
• Develop and implement innovative prompt engineering strategies to improve model performance and efficiency.
• Develop reference implementations for the development squads.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in natural language processing and machine learning.
• Collaborate with researchers to incorporate cutting-edge techniques into prompt engineering methodologies.
• Test and prototype new tools, methods, and processes.
• Work closely with the research and development teams to improve the overall performance of the language model.
• Identify areas for optimization and contribute to the refinement of model architecture.
• Develop tools and frameworks to streamline prompt engineering processes, code development, and software testing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate prompt engineering solutions into software products being developed.
• Implement and oversee quality assurance processes for prompt engineering to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the language model.
• Collaborate effectively with product leaders, software engineers, executive management, and other stakeholders to achieve project goals.
• Communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements

• Bachelors in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.
• Proven experience in natural language processing, with a focus on prompt engineering.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, PhP, or TensorFlow.
• Leadership experience in guiding and mentoring a team of engineers.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Previous experience with large-scale language models (preferred).
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (preferred).
• Experience working in an Agile environment (preferred).
