Job Description

We are seeking a Prompt Engineer within the Linguistic AI Services (LAIS) team. The primary task is developing and optimizing prompts for large language models to expand RWS’ AI-driven linguistic services. You will be crafting sophisticated prompts that maximize the performance of AI models in various language-related tasks, such as AI LQA, term extraction and term creation, TM cleanup, content generation, and translation. You will work closely with linguists, technical teams, and clients to ensure that the prompts elicit high-quality, contextually appropriate, linguistically correct, and culturally sensitive outputs meeting client requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and refine advanced prompting techniques.
  • Develop and implement AI output evaluation techniques.
  • Analyze AI outputs to identify patterns and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with target language specialists.
  • Work closely with the LAIS Research and Development team.
  • Conduct experiments and analyze results.
  • Maintain a library of optimized prompts.
  • Create and implement best practices and guidelines for prompt engineering.
  • Participate in client meetings as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date with advancements in prompt engineering.
  • Contribute to documentation and training materials.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Linguistics, Computational Linguistics, AI, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in prompt engineering for large language models.
  • Strong understanding of NLP and machine learning concepts.
  • Experience with AI frameworks and platforms.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python.
  • Proficiency with linguistic concepts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience in collaborative environments.
  • Creativity and innovation in prompt engineering.
  • Experience with project management tools and web-based collaboration platforms is a plus.
  • Familiarity with the localization industry is a plus.
