Job Description
Talkie is hiring a Prompt Engineer to own prompt design and production quality for AI agents that handle patient-clinic voice calls, web chat, and SMS. The role is full-time and remote, based in Poland, with hours that overlap US Eastern Time.
Responsibilities
- Design, write, and continuously optimize prompts that make Talkie's AI agents natural, accurate, and reliable.
- Analyze real patient-agent conversations, find failure patterns and edge cases, and improve agent behavior.
- Propose and implement function calling, tool use, context caching, and other LLM capabilities.
- Build and run evaluation frameworks so agent changes are tested before they reach patients.
- Write structured documentation and customization instructions so agents can be tailored to each client's workflows.
- Track new models and techniques and bring useful ones back to the team.
- Work with the US-market product manager, engineering, and client teams on quality across deployments.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience writing and iterating on prompts for production systems.
- Ability to review conversations, extract failure patterns, and turn findings into measurable improvements.
- Comfortable on client calls and working across technical and non-technical teams.
- C1+ English and strong written communication, because the agents talk to US patients.
- Available 12:00-20:00 CET at least 3 days per week, and ideally 5, to overlap US Eastern business hours.
- Nice to have: LLM tool use, structured outputs, and API integrations.
- Nice to have: evaluation tools such as Braintrust, DeepEval, LangSmith, or custom pipelines.
- Nice to have: voice AI experience, including latency, turn-taking, and speech systems, or prior healthcare work.
Benefits
- Salary of 10,000 to 14,000 PLN per month.
- Employment contract or B2B contract.
- Remote, office, or hybrid working arrangements.
- Mac laptop, monitors, keyboard, mouse, and a home setup including a chair.
- Private medical care, a Multisport card, an annual offsite, and a training budget.
